Social Media Design for a beauty salon Instagram account

ROLE

Alongside Sandra Asensio's marketing team, I worked on Mademoiselle's Instagram presence by designing static and video posts (stories, reels, single posts and carousels) aligned with the established social media strategy, as well as creating printed materials such as in-salon posters.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Over a three-month period, as part of my internship at Sandra Asensio's marketing agency, I contributed to the visual and content strategy for Mademoiselle's INSTAGRAM. Over the last month (Nov-Dec 2025), I achieved a +5.8% increase in organic reach (79,000+ views) and a +1.65% growth in community. 

 

These metrics represent steady engagement for an account of ~2K followers; a particularly strong result considering the account had just come off a visibility peak in September (following the viral promotion of the CEO's wedding). I successfully sustained the account's growth by:

  • Designing inspiring image and video Stories: covering skincare tips, relatable moments (such as needing a reset on Friday) and season-relevant content like Halloween.

  • Creating informative and educational posts, focused on tailored nail and skincare treatments, encouraging the audience to seek personalised expert care while building trust and a sense of community among followers interested in beauty.

  • Showing the Mademoiselle experience through posts, reels and stories, which highlight how treatments are done or emphasize self-care and 'treat yourself' moments. These aim to inspire interest, increase bookings and messages.

Brand identity & Systems: As a Brand Specialist, I developed a brand manual to ensure long-term consistency. This included a system of soft colours and organic shapes designed to evoke relaxation and feminity. The result was a recognisable premium feed that balanced an approachable "self-care" vibe with a premium salon aesthetic.
